Description from Tower of Ecthelion:

This site offers a list of the best authors, stories, and sites available on the web for LotR fanfiction. Go take a look for some excellent reading.[1]

From the FAQ[2]:

Who's your favorite?

Legolas, and I fear that fact is obvious in my story recommendations. Please don't hesitate to suggest stories with other characters! I really wish to make this site a place to find wonderful fanfiction with any character.

I recommended a story, but you didn't add it.

Because this is my personal list of recommendations, I do not list on demand. However, I do try to to read every single suggestion I receive. Many suggestions sounded very promising, but the author or reader did not provide me with the full (i.e. http://) web address, and I was thus unable to read it!

So... this is an archive site?

No. I only list stories here. Think of it as a portal, of sorts. A one-stop place for quality fanfics from all over the internet.

Did you actually read all those stories?

I sure did, and I loved every one of them. Hence the reason why they're here!

What does (insert word here) mean?

Head here. That page has the translations for all Elvish words used. Limbë hanta na Asea Aranion!

Why Quenya? Why not Sindarin?

Quenya seemed to fit the theme better.

Why do this site? Sites like HASA do it already.

This is my list of favorites. I've judged elite fanfic before, and I know what to look for. Consider this site a supplement to other wonderful recommendation websites. You'll find stories here that aren't there, and vice-versa.
