House of the Rising Sun is a Merlin/Arthur slash story by d (13,916 words).
The story won the Spring 2010 Merlin Slash Awards in the category Best Characterization of Uther ("Arthur/Merlin Fanfiction").
Summary: The King is dead. Long live the King. (Arthur returns to Camelot after the death of his father and learns what it is to be king.)
Roleri translated the story into Russian for the Arthur/Merlin OTP fest "Две стороны одной медали" (Two sides of the same coin).[2]

Arthur's behavior in light of this haunting was in character and it allowed him to have a reason for finding being King a bit absurd. How could he reign when his father has really gone nowhere? Having his relationship with Merlin so thoroughly outed was also very entertaining, and I like how Uther is continuously admonishing his son about trusting the one person in all of Camelot that Arthur can well and truly trust. Upon Uther's return, it was great that Uther's opinion of the servant is the complete opposite.
