ZorroRojo's Slash Scriblings was a personal slash fanfiction site. It was hosted by SlashCity. Fandoms included Highlander, Star Trek Voyager, Farscape, The X-Files, Homicide: Life on the Street and Oz.

There was a Highlander/Voyager crossover that had its own story banner on the main page and the site featured a recommendation page and a page with meta essay like "The Fanfic Police", " Criticism and discussion, public or private?", or "An unpopular opinion of Q/O fic." It also linked to "SlashCity's List'O'Links, Categorized and Sub-categorized For Your Convenience".

The Voyager page was a member of the Star Trek Slash Ring and it had a subpage for stories by Sue.

Jaguarundi's Lairs linked to the website in 2001 as a Highlander website.[2]

Description from Spirit's Heavens:

ZorroRojo's Slash Fiction - contains the ever-growing Highlander/Voyager crossover saga, 'Just a Guy'.[3]

About the Recs

What I like in a story - or why I recommend the stories I do.

When I read fanfic, the first thing I'm looking for is a good plot. I like plot driven over character driven stories. That doesn't mean I forgive character abuse - I don't. If I don't hear the characters as they sound on the show - I won't read the story. That means no American's calling their friends "mate." That means the mannerisms and nuances of the characters onscreen must be in the story.

I don't like flowery, purple prose. In fact, I can't stand it. If you like paragraph long descriptions and rambles off to the side that only seem like an attempt by the writer to show off her vocabulary and wonderful writing - sorry, you won't find that sort of thing here.

I like believable dialogue. Nothing turns me off a story faster than dialogue that no one would ever say. I like the characters talking like they would on the show.

I like adventure stories. I like having bad guys to defeat - situations to get out of - problems to solve.

I like hot monkey sex between the guys - but it doesn't have to be there and the sex doesn't have to be well written. If it's not - I skip it - I can live without it.

I like well rounded characters who develop along the course of a story.

Just A Guy Series

JAG Pt 1: Where Have You Been? ----- Tom and Chakotay start dating. Kinda mushy, not very much angst. Very little sex. Prequel to the series. This story is rated R for some language. Not very long. 30K Posted 7/25/98

JAG Pt 2: Look What We Found. ---- C/P as the background. The crew of Voyager finds an old ship. Crossover with highlander. Some angst, some surprises. This story is rated NC-17 Ends rather abruptly, continued in What Now. 110K Posted 7/28/98

JAG Pt 3: What Now? ----- C/P DM/M NC-17 Lotsa talk, some sex, not too much action. That comes in the next part. 122k. Posted 7/31/98

JAG Pt 4: What Now? part two C/P DM/M NC-17 This is part two of What now? 48K. Posted 8/2/98

Crossing The Line:

CTL Part 1: The Prosecution—90K NC17 The unsavory parts of the ROG's past are laid out for all to see. This part is a little one sided. The Rog is not his normally charming self. It gets balanced out in the next installment. Posted 8/5/98

CTL Part 2: The Defense The ROG wasn't all evil. 106K NC-17—Warning—Double Methos torture, past and present (well, actually the future) Posted 8/11/98

CTL Pt 3:Meanwhile, Back At The Ranch How much trouble can Tom and The ROG get into when they leave Voyager while the ROG's fate is being decided? Weighing in at 102K, this turned out to be much longer than originally planned. NC-17 Posted 8/16/98

CTL PT 4:The Rescue Approx. 110K, yet another one longer than planned. Oh Yeah, a definite NC-17 Posted 8/22/98

CTL PT 5: Resolution and Redemption PAGE 1 PAGE 2 This one is self-explanatory. It's in two parts, there is a link at the top and bottom of the first part to get to the second. All I can say about this one is it's long, very long. And a definite NC-17. Oh Yeah, it goes out with a very big......uhmmmm.....bang Posted 9/1/98

This series won three Golden O's - the awards for the alt.startrek.creative.erotica.moderated newsgroup.

2nd place Best ASCEM(L) Story - includes all stories posted for 1998, all four series

2nd place Best Voyager story - all genres, all stories

2nd place - best Voyager Slash story

Also a winner of the Alt.Startrek.creative 1998 awards for Best Misc Story

I know it won another one, but I don't read the newsgroup very often.

Star Trek Voyager

Just A Guy series, A Highlander/Voyager Crossover novel set in the Voyager timeline

Zonama: C/P NC-17 - Chak and Tom are in a shuttle crash and are forced to land on a not very friendly planet. Warning, this story is pretty twisted and contains violence and some non-con sex. Psychological games as well, if you are squeamish, you might want to pass this one by. Text Version

First Impressions - C/P Rated—NC-17- Tom and Chak meet for the first time. subsequent installments explore the effect they have on each other's lives. Updated 12/27/99 *Unfinished*

Experimentation Series - C/P Rated G - NC-17 - A near death experience leads to something more - maybe... *unfinished*

Variations on A Theme - Just a collection of three PWP's done in three different styles. Uhm, these are sort of parodies.

Covert Operations: Co-Written With Speedo. Warning, NC-17 with an emphasis on BDSM - and a little D/s thrown in for good measure. It all fits together. This is going to be an ongoing group of short stories. Updated 12/18/99 *Unfinished*

Descent: NC-17 C/P

Prequel To Descent: Written by Robin Serrano

Part 1: Co-Written by Sue and ZorroRojo

Twentieth Century Boy - A Crossover with X-Files and Highlander - can be found in the SlashCity E-Zine issue 1 C/P

OLD FRIENDS: 70 K Rated NC-17 This one has familiar characters from DS9 in it. It is not a crossover, more of a backstory. It's pretty different from what I usually write and contains G/B as well as C/P -- This one sucks, I'm going to rewrite it - eventually...

A Cave In: C/P Rated R 10K: Just a bit of slash lite to brighten the day.

The Fox and The Wolf "Hmm, I'm not sure how to fix this one. All suggestions welcome."

Homicide: Life on the Street

So far only one story and it's a Homicide/Highlander Crossover. A word about the crossover. When I got the idea to do this, I didn't think about how different the tones of the two fandoms actually are. Homicide is a very realistic, gritty show. Highlander is a fantasy show about people living forever and chopping off other people who live forever's heads off with swords. It's hard to merge the two and I'm not sure if I've succeeded or not. I'll leave that up to you to decide.

Chance Encounters --NC-17 for sex and violence. Set during mid-season six (specifically between 'Secrets and Fallen Heroes') of H:LOTS and a few years after the end of HL- The Series. No, they do not coincide in real time, I know that. But, hey, this is my world. Summary: There's a very old Immortal living in Baltimore. His friends, and others, come looking for him. Characters - Highlander: Methos, Duncan MacLeod, Joe Dawson, Amanda, and Nick from HL: The Raven. From H:LOTS: Bayliss, Pembleton, Munch, Lewis, and Kellerman. Small roles for the rest of the gang.

(should be up by 02/20/99) If you would like to read the first three chapters, a work in progress and subject to editing, go here

Let's see, all male characters, and a sex warning. Do you know what slash is now?

The X-Files

Twentieth Century Boy - Voyager crossover

Kismet - "So, I didn't have enough unfinished stories, here's another. It's an X-Files, Highlander Crossover, but not the standard XF/HL X-Over. I won't spoil it with codes, but it is a slash story. It's also got some Het in it. Let me know how I did, this is my first story with ANY Het in it at all. I'll give it an NC-17 rating, even though I haven't written a word yet. I know where I am going with this, and it is definitely NC-17 territory."

Oz

The Oz page didn't have any fanfiction, it had links to Oz fanfic sites and other Oz websites.
