Summary

Publisher's summary:

What do you do when one day you discover you have the hots for your boss? Nick Stokes, CSI agent, wrestles with this very problem. For the first time in his life he seems to have a strong attraction to a man––one Gil Grissom, to be exact. How could this possibly work out? Grissom wouldn't be interested him. That is until Nick finds out something about Gil he never knew. At the same time a danger from Nick's past resurfaces: Nigel Crane. He stalked Nick: watched him day by day, eat, sleep, relax and go about his daily life––all unknowingly, from within Nick's own home. Before he was caught, Crane even pushed Nick out a second story window, injuring him. Caught by the police and put away, he escapes and is after Nick again––this time murdering more people along the way.

Editorial

This fandom sort of snuck up on me, like any good fandom does. I watched CSI from the beginning . . . loved the show, in fact. But, I didn't see slash, just really liked the show. Then my partner, who would not watch said show for the first two seasons decides Grissom is the hottest thing since sliced bread. It went down hill from there. I had to go look at the fan fic and I had to read Gil/Nick fiction. What can I say ... after that there was no turning back.

There are a number of people I need to thank for helping me whip this thing into shape. First and foremost is my partner of eighteen years. Carole prodded, she talked out scenes, was held captive listening to me read scenes, edited, etc...

You would not have this in your hands if it weren't for her encouragement. Not to mention the stunning cover and the beautiful art work. Her vision of Nick and Gil is so perfect and inspires me to go write more. Boo, I couldn't have done it with out you!!!

Hugs go to Tiger Tyger, who edited and betaed beyond the call of duty. She helped me pull this story into what you see here and for that I am grateful. You're the best.

Thanks too go to Emrys who also lent her hand at editing and proofing. You're a great friend and we don't know what we would do without you.

And a final thanks go to my new friend. Sue. You gave me insights into writing and putting a more emotional feel to this novel and I can't thank you enough.

Just to let everyone know; this is the first novel in what will probably be a four book series. The next three will be crossovers with, "The Sentinel", so look for

those to be coming soon.

Fan Comments

Okay - this is one of my newest fandoms. But the story still got to me - Shadowfax nailed the characters and the art is lovely. I've had it since about April and it's already been read a gazillion times. [2]
