From a flyer:

As a direct result of one of his terrifying nightmares, Vincent accidentally injures someone very dear to him. Wretched with guilt and self-loathing, he suffers alone as, unaware of the problems Below.

Catherine is involved in a crisis of her own when Joe is shot and seriously wounded by a mystery assailant When she eventually becomes aware that all is far from well in Vincent's world, Catherine rushes to his side, to find him emotionally distraught and near breaking point. She resolves there and then to heal him by whatever means necessary, as well as ensuring that Joe’s attacker is brought to justice.

This is a CLASSIC Beauty and the Beast, with all you want from a fanzine: drama, tension, romance, and sensitively written, very sensual love scenes, even a fairy tale wedding!

From the Editorial

Every time I'm 100% certain that there are just no more possibilities for new Vincent and Catherine storylines, a tiny germ of an idea suddenly lodges in my brain and begins to grow. This one was originally intended to be a short story, since I am less prolific than some of my fellow writers, but then I felt it merited greater exploration. I hope you will agree that it was worth it.

A huge THANK YOU to the celebrated artists whose talent enhances this novella. Know that I appreciate you more than I can say.

[...]

As with all my books, this one is offered as a tribute to all the people who made Beauty and the Beast possible: Ron Koslow, Roy Dotrice, Jay Acovone, Edward Albert, David Greenlee, Ellen Geer, Jo Anderson, Ritch Brinkley, James Avery and the whole of the cast, crew, producers, directors and WRITERS. The list is a long one and should include Rick Baker and Margaret Bessara, without whom, Vincent might have looked very different. The following couple may have moved on to other things, but in our wonderful fandom they will always, through their formidable acting talent and chemistry, remain indelibly in our hearts and minds as VINCENT and CATHERINE:

RON PERLMAN and LINDA HAMILTON

My last THANK YOU must go to you. Thank you for buying this fanzine and any of/al1 the others. Without you, I'd probably still write stories (Vincent is a very hard habit to break ... he steals into your heart and refuses to budge), but it's infinitely more rewarding to know that others are sharing and enjoying them.

Until next time ... inspiration permitting . .. Be Well and Keep our Wonderful Dream Alive Always.

Reactions and Reviews

I've just got my copy of "When My World Divides and Shatters" by Avril Bowles. It is really brilliant. Such a good story, plus it is extremely sensual. The gut tightening sort. I loved every word, plus the artwork is beautiful - Rosemarie Hauer is always so wonderful. Renate Haller is also beautiful, plus there is a lovely "Vincent" piece from Helen Charlotte Hill. I would recommend it to everyone. Everyone over 18 that is! [1]
