The Trios of Heart is a charity zine for the many character trios in the Kingdom Hearts games.

About

Interest checks first began on Twitter user gothcrows's account on January 27, 2020. In an information thread posted early in the project's development, the zine was decided to be fo charity and would have physical and digital copies, along with merchandise. Contributor applications began the next day up until February 11, 2020. Acceptance emails were sent out on February 12th.

Preorders opened from August 7 to August 28, 2020, with the following pricing tiers:

• Data Tier ($15 USD) - Digital Zine
• Nobodies Tier ($15 USD) - All Die-Cut Stickers
• Friendship Tier ($25 USD) - Physical Zine
• Unversed Tier ($30 USD) - Physical Zine, Notepad, Charm of buyer's choice
• Heartless Tier ($45 USD) - All Charms
• Fiend Tier ($50 USD) - Physical Zine, Notepad, 3 Charms, 4 Die-Cut Stickers
• Norted Tier ($75 USD) - Physical Zine, Notepad, All Die-Cut Stickers, All Charms

A six-day giveaway for a full bundle was run beginning on August 22, 2020. The winner of this giveaway was Twitter user OopsAllDaisys.

Orders began shippng out approximately after October 28, 2020, once all physical merchandise had arrived to be shipped.

The zine announced on February 19, 2021, that the $331 USD made from the zine was donated to two Girl Scouts on the Digital Cookie platform to support black youths.
