Boldly Writing calls this play "Star Date 3113.7". Star Trek Lives! calls the play "Stardate 7113.7". Does anyone know which would be correct? --Mrs. Potato Head 01:03, 23 November 2010 (UTC)

I think I'm going to answer my own question and go with 3113.7. --Mrs. Potato Head 14:14, 23 November 2010 (UTC)

Unfortunately I no longer have L.E. Wallace's original correspondence, but according to the excerpt I quoted in issue #14, "he chose the play's title (which is the date of the second log entry in 'Tomorrow is Yesterday') to emphasize the relevance of his theme....to life in the 20th Century." Various online sources give the stardate of that episode as 3113.2, so 3113.7 sounds reasonable for the second log entry. -- Carol Pruitt 17:31, 28 July 2016

MPH -- would you like the full paragraph that makes the trekkie/trekker distinction? Note that it's in Issue #8, rather than #6. By the way, I was merely trying to express myself clearly, in case some readers weren't familiar with the difference. In any case, here's the paragraph, if you'd like to use any or all of it:

If you object to opinions expressed or statements made in DECK 6, please don’t blame the “Deck 6 gang.” With the exception of issue #1 (which was written by Ellen), I’m responsible. Any contributions by the rest of the gang will be so labeled, so if you’re planning to hit anyone, better aim at me. The gang is a definite help, though – they keep my spirits up, and beat me down when I start acting like a bubble-headed trekkie (rather than a sober, dignified – albeit enthusiastic – trekker).

Note that the "er" of "trekker" should be underlined.

I made those additions, Carol. Thank you! If you find more, and feel comfortable doing so, you can add and correct other things yourself. I'll spot you! "-) MPH (talk) 14:52, 5 December 2020 (UTC)

Mrs. Potato Head -- Good heavens, I had forgotten all about that notice in the Nimoyan! Clearly, the "better TV" campaign quickly fizzled (see last paragraph of Issue 4 sample page), and DECK 6 grew to more-or-less fill the void left by PLAK-TOW's demise (though I was not really familiar with that prior zine -- I suspect you can blame Ruth Berman's news-tidbit service!). By the way, that should be "Peek" (rather than "Peak") in the addition's title. --Carol Pruitt (talk) 22:14, 20 November 2022 (UTC)
