Can we see about reducing or removing the outing section? It's already extensively covered at <https://fanlore.org/wiki/RaceFail_%2709#Will_Shetterly_and_Coffeeandink>, and considering the safety of coffeeandink, I'm not sure we want to mention the outing incident so extensively on this page? I also think we need to reconsider how we cover harassment in Fanlore so we don't replicate the harassment itself. Thank you for your help! jane 21:04, 26 May 2023 (UTC)

I recognize that it is challenging to balance all these things. I do not support removing the section/not addressing the topic on this page. I do support reducing the section to reduce its footprint, but then include a link/links to the discussion of that history on other pages.
Also, this page also needs more information and commentary on coffeeandink's other fandom activities (their blog, other). MPH (talk) MPH 12:30, 26 June 2023 (UTC)
Please see profile Will Shetterly. I also repeat the request we need to reconsider how we cover harassment in Fanlore so we don't replicate the online abuse itself. Will Shetterly stalked and harassed fans, and those have real consequences on their lives. Thank you again! jane 20:31, 9 July 2023 (UTC)
I will take a look at this page's content and see if any of it is redundant to Coffeeandink's section in the Racefail page. Though ultimately, if a controversy is a part of a fan's history and relevant to fandom it should be included. But I do think the page (at a glance) is probably a case of not having enough general or positive contributions by Coffeeandink, making the controversy section look disproportionate. Adding more content unrelated to the controversy would fix that. Patchlamb (talk) 18:11, 12 August 2023 (UTC)
Looks like I had just pasted the content from the RaceFail page over here two years ago, so it was all redundant. I reduced some details and linked to the main section for RaceFail instead. I will remove the attention gardener tag since this has been addressed, and just suggest trying to add more general info about coffee as a fan to make the controversy not so disproportionate.
