Summary: In a universe where the Sith control the galaxy and the Jedi are a subversive force, a Master and his Padawan face a time of trial.

Perhaps only Anna (a pen name of Mac) can write a story where Jedi must be cruel, very cruel, to train perfect Apprentices in a Sith dominated galaxy, where the price of failure is death at the hand of your Master, where said Master is tortured by the Sith -- and still give it an upbeat ending! There was also a prequel to this story, with more background on her AU, but I can't find it on Mac's site or the archive :-([1]
My absolute favorite Q/O Darkfic of all time. A deliciously disturbing AU in which the Sith have taken over the galaxy. This one makes me cry every single time I read it, but it ends on such a note of hope and love that I keep coming back to go through it all again. Warning: dark content and character death[2]
