I really want to enjoy more of this author’s work, because she’s kindly posted it online and I believe she’s done good acafan work, but this is another of her fics that I just don’t like. A perfectly acceptable (to me) conceit, and then our heroes become too… ‘love conquers all’/wimpy. I don’t know how to express that. I wish this one were more caustic, facing death together or not.[1]
