From the editorial:

Most of the writers will be familiar to those who have read recent issues of Gentlemen Never Tell, but we also have a couple of writers who are making their first contributions to the wonderful world of Jim and Artie. I dragged Jhava out of retirement from slash writing and her interest in another fandom, and Griffinspark confided that she's written stories in many fandoms, but this is the first one submitted for publication.

"The Night of the Dinner Guests" appeared in draft on the Sin and Salvation newgroup, and "The Night of the Wild Wild Bells" appeared in an earlier form in the 2004 Slash Advent Calendar. "The Night of the Silver Secret" previously appeared as a gen story under the pen name of M.L. Miller in Spies in the Old West 2... My thanks to Gail for permitting (encouraging, begging for...) a slash version of the story to be written and appear here.

"The Night of the Improbability Affair" is a sequel to "The Night of the Missing Cattle Affair", a Wild Wild West - Man from U.N.C.L.E. crossover that Lady Ra wrote as Rati. It was included in Gentlemen Never Tell Zine 7.

I owe Animasola thanks not only for her wonderful collage included here, but I also owe her for the name. Sin and Salvation, with which she christened the newsgroup when she originally started it. She's moved on from Wild Wild West fandom, but I will always be grateful to her for her contributions (including other Jim and Artie artwork that I'm selfishly keeping to myself]). And, of course, I must thank my friend and art editor, Kitty Johnson, for the gorgeous cover, frames for the screencaps and the wonderful look of the zine. Also, for putting up with my constant emails, constant questions, and general neediness. I couldn't have done this without her!

Last, but not least, my thanks to Marian for encouraging the publication of this Wild Wild West slash zine and always being willing to answer my numerous questions during the process of creating this zine. Her Gentlemen Never Tell series sets an amazing standard!
