This is an emotionally intense story about Kirk coming to terms with Edith Keeler's death on Vuican. it's beautifully written and I appreciated the fact that Kirk's relationship with Edith was treated as important by both Spock and the author. [1]
Based on a snippet of Harlan Ellison's original script of City on the Edge of Forever. Spock brings Jim with him to Vulcan to help him heal after Edith's death. Soft and loving just as I love them, full of long conversations between the two friends, marks of mutual respect and care, and slow healing through a friend's love. [2]
