Edited by Theresa Buffaloe, Robin Lancaster, and Sara Arnold.

  • Façade by Mary Ann Johanson ("Cally has a lot to consider where Kerr Avon is concerned? not the least of which is the cold front he presents to the populace at large. Of course? she has reason to know that he isn't really like that at all,") (3)
  • Requiem by Janet Paderewski ("Is Avon prepared to deal with what he finds when he searches for Cally and Orac in the destruction of the base on Terminal?") (5)
  • Trick or Treat by Robin Lancaster and Sara Arnold ("Vila insists that something is very wrong but no one believes him. Is Liberator really haunted? Or is someone just trying to scare Vila to death.") (9)
  • A Variation on Terminal by Mary Ann Johanson ("Cally and Zen survive but can Avon and Vila? An alternate universe version of 'Terminal'. (Supposedly re-printed from SHADOW "& specially re-edited for this volume.") (17)

  • Memories by Vennessa Kelly ("Anna Grant's last night of life is spent in remembering her past and planning her future.") (36)
  • Heart-To-Heart by Sara Arnold ("Avon has good reason to be sure Gaily will stay with Liberator after the destruction of the Auronar, A "missing scene" from 'Children of Auron.'") (47)
  • Hunter by Theresa Buffaloe ("She saved Avon's life and her acid-sharp comments amuse him. She treats Vila like a brother, Dayna has finally found a friend and hunting companion to take Lauren's place, However, she makes Soolin nervous and Tarrant thinks she's a danger to them all. How can Avon trust a homicidal Xenon savage?!? But Tarrant forgets that Avon doesn't trust anyone? including Ashlea Hunter.") (50)

Reactions and Reviews

I'm very fond of Theresa Buffaloe's story in which Avon winds up in a threeway with Soolin and an original female character. Yes, yes, I know it's a shameless Mary Sue, but I like it anyway. Guilty pleasures. :) [1]
