Reactions and Reviews

Oh, this one is funny! This author, who uses many pen names, has a real talent for writing many sex scenes really well, and she uses that ability here. Kirk and Spock are in the middle of hot and sweaty sex, with Kirk really enthusiastic but wondering at his capacity, since he's already come twice, is close to coming a third time, and can already tell he'll be ready for a fourth right away! ("Everytime I look at you, I want to do it again." Kirk was mystifiedby his suddenly-insatiable desire for his lover. He was normally very horny for Spock, but never to this extent!) Spock, on the other hand, isn't enjoying things quite as much as his masterful lover. ("He was perfectly capable of taking Jim's full length—when his mind was on the task and not absorbed with niggling little worries. After all, it was his own fault that he was in his present predicament.")

Finally Kirk calms down a little bit, giving poor Spock a rest. There's some really cute after-sex wordplay, including comments about Spock's sore jaw muscles that really made me smile. Then Kirk reaches for the bedside bottle of champagne that we learn that Spock has given him, among other things, for a birthday present, Spock forcibly says, "NO!" and removes the bottle from his hand, and our intuitive captain (at least, he's intuitive when he isn't involved in fucking the light, I mean the Spock, fantastic) finally puts two and two together.

"...what is in the champagne?" Cute! [1]

Revealing the end of "Rerun Fantasy" by Ursula Tulle is no spoiler, since the comments of the fantasy stealing alien that I intend to discuss have nothing to do with the rest of the story. They bring to mind a kind of fantasy that was left out of this zine. Ursula has the alien who stole the fantasy wonder if Spock fantasizes about Kirk in "mysterious Vulcan rituals" and "forbidden secret ceremonies". I personally would adore seeing a scenario like that, but alas, no one wrote any for this zine. [2]
