This story didn't work for me at all. While I think Spock may not be the most experienced person around, he's not, in his own words in this story, '...an idiot.' Yet, too much of what happens here, Spock trying to comfort Kirk by offering to 'assist him' with his erection, makes him, well, just that. I just couldn't see Spock being that dense. [1]
