Memory of Promises is a charity zine for the pairings RikuNami (Riku x Naminé) and RepliNami (Replica Riku x Naminé) from the Kingdom Hearts games.

About

An interest check for a potential RikuNami and RepliNami zine opened on October 3, 2019, until October 13th. The zine would contain both ships in platonic and romantic portrayals, and would be split into two sections for each ship. Contributor applications for artists and writers ran from November 23 to December 13, 2019.

Preorders opened on October 4, 2020, with the following pricing tiers:

• Trails of Valediction ($10 USD) - DIgital Zine, Cover Art Wallpaper
• Important Memories ($25 USD) - Physical Zine, Digital Zine, Cover Art Wallpaper, All Stretch Goals
• Memento ($35 USD) - All Acrylic Standees, All Acrylic Charms, All Buttons, Second Stretch Goal
• Falling Stars ($40 USD) - Physical Zine, Digital Zine, Acrylic Standee, Acrylic Charm, Button, All Stretch Goals
• Shooting Stars ($55 USD) - Physical Zine, Digital Zine, All Acrylic Standees, All Acrylic Charms, All Buttons, All Stretch Goals

While the Shooting Stars bundle included all items, the Falling stars bundle was available as containing RikuNami or RepliNami merch. Stretch goals included a flat matte UV coating upgrade to the zine at 10 orders, and a sticker sheet at 20 orders. Preorders were expected to end on November 4, 2020, but were extended to November 11th.

Shipping of orders began as soon as printed zines arrived for packaging on March 20, 2021. All orders were shipped out by March 23, 2021. Digital copies were sent out by April 4th.

The zine's store reopened for leftover sales on April 15, 2021, and would remain open until all stock ran out. The project was declared closed by June 22, 2021, in its social media account header.

On June 28, 2021, the organizers posted one last update that the zine's proceeds of $1031.81 USD was donated to Joyful Heart Foundation.
