Kingdom Heals is a charity zine focused on themes of hurt/comfort, recovery, and healing in the Kingdom Hearts games.
About
The zine's social media account posted an interest check on May 5, 2020, until May 20th[1]. The zine would be distributed digitally and would contain an estimate of 30 contributors with an even split between writers and artists[2][3].
In the meantime, applications for mods and a graphic designer opened on May 11, 2020, until May 19th[4]. Writers and artists could apply to the zine from May 20th to June 10th[5]. Acceptance and rejection emails were sent out on July 14, 2020[6].
The zine was sold for $15 USD on Gumroad from November 20 to December 21, 2020[7]. On Januar 2, 2021, the zine's social media account posted that $389 USD was raised and donated to UNICEF's Covid-19 Solidarity Response Fund[8].
