King and Steward is a fanfiction series in the The Lord of the Rings fandom written by Linda Hoyland. The stories focus on Aragorn and Faramir, starting with their first meeting during the War of the Ring. Slowly, a deep friendship develops between the king (Aragorn) and his steward (Faramir).
Linda started the series in 2004 and is still constantly adding to it. The series has no consistent name, on some profile pages it is simply listed as series[1] while on others it is called King and Steward[2] or The Steward and the King.[3]
