Why we love it: This story deftly handles the subject of the military's 'Don't Ask, Don't Tell' policy. It believably deals with the impact it may have had on Steve and his lasting relationships. Well written and believable, it might also rip your heart right out. There are parts of this story that are gut-wrenchingly sad, but in the end it is a very hopeful story of love and friendship wrapped tightly together.[1]
