A Big Bang story. Set sometime after S3 (I think -- I stopped watching after season one and stopped paying attention to storylines after S2), Atlantis is moving to its new home, still carrying wounded from the war against the Asurans. Just when it seems that they are safe, they find out the stargate doesn't work, the Apollo has disappeared, and there might just be a sabateur on board.This story is all about John and Rodney and Samantha Carter. I've always liked Sam (apparently an unpopular opinion in the SGA fandom; I can't imagine what the TPTB were smoking when they decided to make her a regular on SGA) and Tigerlady does a good job in keeping Sam in character without having every scene between her and Rodney be a clash of the titans. It helps that a few years in Atlantis has made Rodney more confident; it also helps that Rodney's now allowed to be right at least as often as Sam is (SG-1 writers, I'm looking at you).
Overall, a good, solid adventure that reads very much like an actual episode of the show. Well, except for the slash, of course (but who's going to complain about that?) [1]
