I for one love the movie You’ve Got Mail which this fic is a superb twist not to mention the cameo roles of the real actors names. Also when I first went online back in 1998 I was a member of one of these such email/IM RPG games and they were so much fun and incidentally and its from there I created my username so thats one of the reasons why I have a fondness for this fic[1]

When you’re writing fanfiction that is set in an alternate universe, it is always difficult to keep the characters in character and not turn them into different people. Still, some people manage to write AU fiction so well it’s like the characters were straight out plucked from the show and thrown into this new situation. I really liked this story for that, especially for the way Rodney was portrayed. Another thing that should be noted is that this isn’t just two professors who meet, no, there is the added plot with the online Atlantis RPG which was a great way to incorporate events from the show.
