Further X-Plorations was an X-Files website and archive with a focus on fanfic that takes place after an episode ends. The archive covers fiction up to season six, as well as the movie Fight the Future.

"Now sit down children. I'll tell you a story. There once was a great post episode site that closed down and a collective group of X-Philes cried. So one brave soul decided to set up a post episode site for those wanting post-episode fan fiction and the Philes were happy. Good story, huh?" [1]

A 1998-ish Description

Further X-Plorations was originally set up to fill the void of a post-episode site that was left when Stephanie Davies shut her archive down. It was also because I had an impossible time finding post-episode stories. The archive (aside from being one of three post-ep sites) has a thorough collection of stories not found at other sites. In addition to the size, everyone on the archive has been asked for their approval to post. With over 80 (probably close to 100) authors archived, the work that has gone into the site has shocked and amazed me. Several times a week I get submissions from writers of stories that can go directly into the archive. The archive itself features stories from the Pilot up to the latest episode of the 5th season. Some are X-Files, Some are MSR, and some are even slash, but all are post-episode. [2]
