Fantasmi dell’Oscurità is a charity zine centered around Xehanort and all his incarnations from the Kingdom Hearts games.
About
A poll on Twitter for the zine's social media account was first posted on June 13, 2020, to gauge interest in a charity zine with proceeds going to an organization involved in the Black Lives Matter movement[1]. The organizers then opened moderator applications from June 20 to June 30, 2020[2].
Applications for artists and writers were opened from July 6 to July 20, 2020[3]. During this time, the zine announced that Michi, one of the mods, was leaving the project ot pursue more freelance work[4]. When applications closed, the organizers reported that nearly 100 applications had been submitted[5]. Results were sent out by July 24, 2020[6].
On August 4, 2020, the zine announced their official title, as voted by the contributors[7]. Days later, they announced they would be donating the zine's proceeds to The Autistic People of Color Fund[8].
Preorders of the zine opened on March 24, 2021, with a scheduled digital release on April 15th[9]. The zine was sold on Gumroad for $15 USD. After sales, the project reported that $550 USD was donated to the The Autistic People of Color Fund[10].
