Excerpts

What got you started watching Teen Wolf?

It was actually Tumblr. I kept seeing all the amazing gif-sets and graphics, and thought I should give it a try. Of course, once I started I couldn’t stop and the rest is history!

Your opinion on the show, is it different than when you started to watch Teen Wolf?

I think my view has changed along with the show and the fandom. From the first season to now, the show has changed a lot, and with it so has the fandom. I still remember when we were just a [few] people and now the Teen Wolf fandom is one of the largest on Tumblr, for example. The experience is completely different between small and big fandoms and that changes the way you approach other people or the show.

How do you think Sterek brings the fandom together as a family?

I’m still pondering this. To me, this fandom has been nothing like any other before and I’ve been [involved in] many fandoms in my life. There is something cozy and welcoming about this fandom. I think the pairing brings out the creativity and talent in many people. I have never read so much fanfic before, for example, and it’s only because the Sterek fandom is full of amazing writers. Everyone seems to have a talent they’re willing to share with the rest of us. I want to believe it’s because the pairing works in a way that a lot of people can understand and identify with.
