Earthshaker is a charity zine dedicated to the character Terra from the Kingdom Hearts games.

About

Interest checks for a zine centered around Terra opened on December 1, 2020[1]. Meanwhile after the holidays, mod applications were opened from January 6 to January 16, 2021[2][3].

Contributor applications for merch artists, writers, and artists ran from February 1 to February 28, 2021[4]. Applications were extended to another month, ending on March 31, 2021[5]. Acceptance and rejection emails were sent out on April 4th[6].

Preorders opened from September 20 to November 20, 2021, with the following pricing tiers[7]:

  • Dark Haze ($15 USD) - Digital Zine, Digital Merch
  • Dark Star ($25 USd) - Physical Zine, Digital Zine, Digital Merch, Sticker Sheets, Postcard Prints, First Stretch Goal
  • Geo-Impact ($40 USD) - Physical Zine, Digital Zine, Digital Merch, Sticker Sheets, Postcard Prints, Magnet, Acrylic Charm, Washi Tape Roll, All Stretch Goals
  • Demolition ($50 USD) - Physical Zine, Digital Zine, Digital Merch, Sticker Sheets, Postcard Prints, Magnet, Acrylic Charm, Washi Tape Roll, Enamel Charm, All Stretch Goals
  • Rising Rock ($75 USD, Limited to 25) - Physical Zine, Digital Zine, Digital Merch, Sticker Sheets, Postcard Prints, Magnet, Acrylic Charm, Washi Tape Roll, Enamel Charm, Double-sided Dakimakura, Spinning Enamel Pin, Mini Wayfinder, All Stretch Goals

Buyers could add the following additional digital merchadise to their orders:

  • Bedshaker ($10 USD) - NSFW PDF
  • SS Terra Gummi Ship PDF ($10 USD)
  • Ship and NSFW PDFs ($15 USD)

Stretch goals included a die-cut sticker at 25 orders, an acrylic charm at 50 orders, and a candy-shaker charm at 75 orders[8]. The limited bundle sold out by October 6, 2021[9]. It was later restocked on October 10, 2021[10]. Preorders were expected to end on November 20 but was extended to December 7, 2021[11]. Etsy preorders for customers from the United Kingdom or European Union were run from December 13th to December 24th[12].

Physical orders were confirmed to begin shipping on November 14, 2022[13]. All packages were shipped out by November 22, 2022, with digital orders being sent out shortly after[14].

The project's online store reopened for second sales on January 8, 2023[15]. On April 16, the organizers announced that the project was complete, and that $212.23 USD was donated to The Rainforest Alliance[16].
