The Awesome Ladies Podfic Anthology is an anthology of podfic featuring fanfiction which is written by women, centers on female characters, and is recorded by women.
First edition
The first edition was released in 2011 as part of halfamoon:
- A bunch of us in the podfic community wanted to contribute to halfamoon, so we have made an anthology of ficlets from the Awesome Ladies Ficathon.
- The anthology contains 73 stories, from 41 fandoms, performed by 19 readers. The beautiful cover art was designed by aneas.
- Total running time is 3 hours 39 minutes.[1]
The first anthology is available as a podbook, a zip file, or a browsable list of individual podfic mp3s.
Second edition
The second edition was released as part of halfamoon 2012:
- Here is the second edition of Awesome Ladies Podfic Anthology! This collection brings together 104 woman-centered stories by 86 different authors and 47 different podficcers in 64 fandoms, for a total running time of a little over seven and a half hours!!![2]
Volume II is likewise available as a downloadable podbook, (m4b format, 306.97 mb, 7:31:12), with chapter stops for individual podfics; as a zip file (422.85 mb) with all the podfics in mp3 format; and in a Mediafire folder, sorted by fandom, where listeners can download individual mp3 files. The cover art (seen in thumbnail form on this page) is by bessyboo, who notes "Included on this cover are pictures of (nearly) all the awesome ladies the podfics in this anthology are about" and lists them in order.
Third edition
The third edition was released as part of halfamoon 2013:
- "This collection brings together 124 woman-centered stories by 88 different authors and 62 different podficcers in 82 fandoms!...
- The Awesome Ladies Podfic Anthology III podbook, (m4b format, 225 mb, 10:34:35), with chapter stops for individual podfics
- A zip file (578 mb) with all the podfics in mp3 format:
- A spreadsheet with links to all the individual podfics.
- "Links to the text of the fics, where you can celebrate the awesome authors, are included in the Comments section of all the mp3 files, as well as the spreadsheet with the individual podfic links."
