The X-Phile Census (in 2008 also known as The Global X-Phile Census) was a fan run survey conducted by fan Emma Keturah. The goal of the census was to understand who X-Files fans are in 2008, what their nationality, age, season or favorite character is, and etc.
2005 Census
the first census was done in 2005 but unfortunately the results are not waybacked and thus no longer accessible.[1] It is interesting to note that the number of Italian fans in 2005 were second only to fans from the United States as noted by Italian fansite Beyondthesea.it .[2]
2008 Census
The 2008 result were never published either because the creator had to extent the deadline "for a while until I get my hands on a copy of Excel". In June 2009 a fan reached out to Emma and suggested to use the free software Open Office for processing the data but never got a reply.
The word about the 2008 census was spread on several international Philedom communities due to the higher interest in the fandom caused by the second X-Files feature Film I Want To Believe. The news of the survey was spread on pages like the German XFilesMania community,[3] Italian fan site Beyondthesea.it and Ecuadorian fan site X Files Fans Ecuador[4] who translated the English questionnaire in their native languages. The initial deadline was November 21, 2008.
Before we start here is a little information:
Data needs to be in by November 21st, 2008. EDIT: Deadline extended for a while until I get my hands on a copy of Excel.
In the interest of data integrity please do not complete this more than once. We want an accurate representation of the fandom, not a competition to see whose ship has the most fans.
Take your time. Please read the form carefully and fill out all sections correctly. It makes my job much easier. This means unless you are asked for multiple answers, please list ONE ONLY! If you list more than one, I will simply take your first answer.

UPDATE: I've heard a rumour that on Haven someone is saying this is a joke. I assure you it is not. I've already spent hours inputting the data into a table, getting it ready to graph and analyse. Quite frankly it's a lot of work and there is no way I would do it as a joke.
