Simply put, it’s a fun read.When Blair accidently misleads Jim into thinking one of his male students is coming on to him, he’s pleasantly surprised to see a flash of jealousy from his friend; so with renewed hope he jumps in feet first and continues on with the lie, hoping that finally there may be a chance for him.
I totally adored the whimsical approach Tinnean took in this AU version of Jim and Blair. The more I read, the more I smirked. Jealous Jim is quirky, fun and endearing whereas innocent Blair is crafty, manipulative and charming (all in the best possible way of course *grins*). What I enjoyed most about this fic was the way the UST built up using a delicious combo of snark, angst and humor. Blair knows exactly how to push Jim’s buttons in this one and he uses that knowledge to perfection.[1]
