Hello, and welcome to my Fanlore page!

I am a 38 year old gay physician in metro New York, where I practice and teach at one of the local medical schools. I'm a longtime WikiGnome over at Wikipedia, and hope to be much the same here at Fanlore.

My first fandom, back before I knew what fandom was, was LotR - I read The Hobbit when I was 5. My first exposure to real fandom was in high school, when I was privileged to attend LunaCon and meet Dr. Isaac Asimov. My first participation in fandom came in medical school, when I hooked up with one of the so-called "fannish Weyrs" in the Anne McCaffrey Pern fandom, and wrote two stories for the Weyrzine. It's the only fanwork I've ever created.

My current fandoms are Harry Potter (where I ship H/D, R/S and AS/S), Doctor Who/Torchwood (where I ship Janto HARD), and As The World Turns (Luke/Noah, thank you). I'm a big fan of Queer as Folk, too, though I'm not active in that fandom.
