Trial Run is a 151-page het Beauty and the Beast novel by Patricia L. Ryan.

The art is by Barbara Gudlauski, Shirley Leonard, Andrea Moseley, and the author ("Trish").

"Though this publication contains no explicit sexual material, it does deal with adult themes and situations that the series did not."

"From the Back Page"

Why would someone have a back page? Good question!

It is basically because I wanted to let you know that I don't believe in endings. Especially not for "B&B". This is a story which deserves to go on for ever.

I hope you enjoyed "TRIAL RUN ". It was my second work written December '89. To me it reflected growth, in that I found it easier to write and more comical. It was a light-hearted tale. One which reflected the dreams of most "B&B" fans.

"THE CRYSTAL CAVERN" is my first work written December '89. Other than a few short stories, it was my first attempt at anything of this magnitude. I invite you to write me for more information about it at the address below.

My third attempt is to be released in January. A collection of short stories, similar to "Trial Run" in that they are happily ever after, but using different flavors to make each one unique. I have also written to many that have inquired about my work, for their fantasies. Ideas and wishes they would like to see in a "B&B" story. This way I hope to give the fans exactly what they are looking for. I invite you to also send your thoughts in and I will try to accommodate.

Reactions and Reviews

Catherine decides to spend her 6 weeks of vacation Below; Kanin is freed; Devin reveals a son; Father and Mary go to the theater; and V/C have non-detailed sex fairly often. Writing style is very uncertain, as are spelling and punctuation (one memorable line: “Eddie [Edie] brandished a sly grin.”) [1]
