Total Drama Unpopular Ship Week was a fanweek for crack ships in the Total Drama fandom, (ie, ships with not enough of a following for its own to warrant its own fanweek.[1]) It ran for two years, and the first year was the most successful of the two.
Total Drama Unpopular Ship Week came about due to discourse regarding Chefhatchet's Appreciation Calendar. This might explain why 2016's week, a year after the calendar was last updated and followed by the fandom, was less successful than 2015's week.
History
pertaining to ship weeksso we’ve all been here for ship day/week discussions recently, and it seems that we all have landed on the conclusion that anyone and everyone can make ship weeks based on whatever ship their heart desires. now, since i have been cursed with my otp being obscure and extremely unpopular, aka no ones going to participate in the ship week id make for it, i was thinking, why not make a week for ships just like my favourite??
the official total drama unpopular ship week, for pairings no one cares about but yourself and, if you’re lucky, two other people run by yours truly from december 18th to december 24th!!
this will be a week dedicated to non-canon “”””crack”””” ships that couldn’t have ever possibly had weeks until now!!! we will celebrate with general ship week prompts that all of you can vote on that you can either draw or write or make videos for or ANYTHING, the list goes on and on.
you can submit your pieces to the blog that is tba or put it in the tag that is also tba, and they’ll be reblogged there to shine along with others’ work!!
