Stories about asexual characters are pretty thin on the ground, especially long ones. This one handles Fraser's asexuality sensitively and realistically, and does a great job building the relationship between him and RayK. In addition to the relationship plot, it's also got a great, carefully crafted case plot and strong supporting characters. RayK's budding partnership with Ray Vecchio and his coming to terms with being friends with Stella are important elements of the story, and just as carefully crafted as the main plots. [1]
