Rodney adapts to life in Atlantis. This story is freaking brilliant! Even better than the real thing. Highly recommended.[1]

Why this must be read:Zelenka!
Ahem.
Okay, besides the Zelenka!, Rodney taunts Kavanagh and so does Zelenka and omg it all snowballs from there, they're so CUTE and HOT and I know I'm completely abusing capslock here, but once you've read the story you'll understand why.[2]
A strange story concerning Rodney and Zelenka. The slash is secondary; this story is remarkable for how beautiful and realistic its portrayal of life on Atlantis is like.[3]
I'm pretty much a Sheppard/McKay OTP kind of girl when it comes to the SGA fandom, but McKay/Zelenka is a slight exception to that rule. This fic in particular falls under that heading. It's a great story that deals with how McKay and Zelenka become friends and then something much more. How love can kind of just sneak up on you sometimes. I've realized lately that I have a big kink for stories where guys going from being friends to lovers. Especially, when the story focuses heavily on that friendship aspect and the sex just sort of comes later, like a natural evolution. This fic pushes all those particular buttons big time. Making me a very happy girl.[4]
2006
Julad's given us some excellent S1 setting in fic, coupled with a gorgeous conceit of Zelenka gifting McKay with time. It's sweet but still hollow with the regretful reality of living in Atlantis, and it stands out very well against the background cast and scenery she's created.[5]
This is probably my favorite McKay/Zelenka story; it focuses on the lives of the scientists outside of their interactions with the military. I think the show often tends to forget that McKay has two jobs - one on "The Team" and one as the leader of the Science division. The show doesn't focus on the science team outside of "can we fix this? yes! no! maybe!", and it's nice to see a story that covers this gap. (Also, I may be secretly in love with Dinah. Very secretly.) [6]
