This is the Fury Road fic I wasn't aware I craved until I read it. You convey such heaviness with such a light touch. In your writing, I really get a feel for Furiosa and Max's inner space, and how it's as stark and harsh as the landscape that surrounds them. I absolutely love the way you describe certain actions or feelings in mechanical terms. Great work.
this is a fucking work of art. thank you so much for all the time and effort you put into this fic, i can only imagine. i love/d mad max fury road so much, so unbelievably much, and im so grateful that i stumbled across this fic in someones bookmarks bc it continued the story in a way that didnt feel cheap, didnt feel contrived... the voices of the characters were so spot on that i was never distracted- also like holy shit you nailed the voices of characters who barely have any dialogue in the film like................................................................................................ thats amazing-and i actually took my TIME reading all these chapters. partly out of necessity- theres so many wow- but also bc i wanted to take the time. anyways im speechless. this was so good and so amazing and im going to bookmark it and hope other people stumble upon it just like i did and read it and get the same catharsis and enjoyment from it. thanks again dude this was incredible.
Wow.. I am so very rarely at a loss for words, but I’m stumbling because this has been a magnificent. The depth and life that you achieved through the crafting of your characters is astonishing. The world of fan fiction is pretty new to me, I’ve only started reading the last year or so. It draws me because cinema and written text is entrancing. It allows the reader to be transformed through the passion of others into a different world. I’ve always believed that good writing entertains, but gifted writing transcends. It transcends the mind numbing allure of literary eye candy and allows the reader to connect on a deeper level. To find a part of oneself they didn’t know they were looking for. A sentence is a methodical creation of predetermined letters to form a singular output. It does not hold the same meaning to any two individuals. It is magic spun into a tangible cadence. Thank you for sharing your vision and it warms my heart reading your author’s note. You have created a gift and chosen to share this sliver of brightness in an unrelenting world. I haven fallen in love with the world of fan fiction. The passion and courage to take a story or character and breath new life into it. To take it past what anyone deemed possible. Refusal to give up on something that’s captured one’s heart. It’s raw and powerful. This. This is the type of story, no journey, that leaves you speechless. When a world becomes so palpable that it leaves you with a void. That feeling you get when you, “don’t know how to move on”. I feel like I’m saying good bye to old friends, and I just don’t know how to do it.
