The Divorce is a Hanson fanfic written by Hazel. From the author's own summary:
Until now, Taylor Hanson has always led a charmed life. Blessed with looks equal to his musical talent, nothing in Taylor's life seemed to go wrong.
But now the tides have turned. Taylor now has to split the custody of his four-year-old son Ezra with his soon-to-be ex-wife. Factor in the harsh reality of New York City and Taylor's once rose-tinted view of the world has changed drastically.
Armed with just memories of his shattered life, Taylor meanders the New York streets without any sort of intention...
The Reunion
Several months after finishing The Divorce, Hazel began posting a sequel. In a 2007 LiveJournal post, she claimed the story was finished, but only five chapters were ever posted.[1]
Reactions and Reviews
The story, sadly, ends rather abruptly. I’ve heard that the author lost interest in writing the story and wrapped it up just so it wouldn’t remain unfinished. I don’t know if that’s true, but I do get the sense that the ending came a bit too soon, especially after the last few, fast paced chapters. It isn’t a terribly satisfying ending, but not all stories can have a happy ending for everyone.[2]
I loved it. It was so bittersweet. It really was good. I felt bad for Jodie, but I can imagine it was tough for everyone. Is there going to be a sequel or another story in general? I'd love to read another one of your stories. :-)
i've been checking every day to see if you had updated. for some reason i became so damn engrossed in the story. it's beautiful. didn't much like the ending, but then i always have a tendency to root for anyone other than natalie :) hope to read more from you soon.
I know!!!! I'm like 'Omg I thought you were decent! Ugh!!!' and then I was all like wth is wrong with Natalie. Sure they were married and had a kid, but like he was two timing the girls! I wouldn't go back with him after that.
Ugh who am I kidding? He's bloody sex on legs. Of course I'd take him back. Poor Jodie.

Its exciting and bittersweet... I hate ending books b/c I grow attached to the characters. I mean YEAH hanson is still around, but not the same![4]
