It should get a language field too if anthologies have one, and I can't see that yet here?--Ratcreature 17:11, 30 August 2009 (UTC)

Actually, I'd rather have English as the default, and if it is in another language, then a place to put that other language in the template. Yes, this is a totally English-centric thought, but I've added about 2000+ zines in the last month and have come across about five zines in other languages. (Maybe I'm looking in the wrong places!) To have to type English into 99% of the templates to clarify something that doesn't happen all that often doesn't make a lot of sense. Could the template have something in it along the lines of: if this zine isn't in English, what is its language? Or the template has "Language=English" (already filled in), and it's up to the person adding the zine to change the default if needed. Again, only a suggestion. Rats, I totally meant to add Language to both - I knew there was something I was forgetting. It's in the novel template now. I didn't see a way to fill in a default value without hard-coding it so that no one could change it, though, so the field is still blank. Sorry! --Arduinna 03:05, 31 August 2009 (UTC)

associated categories

I think that unlike with anthologies which can be fiction or non-fiction a novel is by definition fiction, no? so the category Fiction Writing could be autimatically added with the template?--RatCreature 14:10, 25 January 2010 (UTC)

editor field on template

Is there any reason why there can't be an editor field on the novel template like there is with the anthology one? Mrs. Potato Head 14:19, 25 January 2010 (UTC)

are there many that list that? And isn't this most often identical with the publisher with zines?--RatCreature 14:43, 25 January 2010 (UTC)
Actually, I never assume the publisher is the editor and add the editor only when it's specifially stated. But it's something I do often enough to make me wish it was there. Mrs. Potato Head 14:51, 25 January 2010 (UTC)
