Usage

This template should be added to articles about individual fanvids. The Vids category is automatically included. If you're creating a new vid article, you can also copy and paste this example page template to help you get started.

For anime music videos, try the AMV template. See Help:Fanworks for more information about editing articles about fanworks.

Key

  • vidtitle = title of the vid
  • creator = the name of the vidder(s)
  • date = when the vid was first posted/premiered
  • format = the original format of the vid (VCR vid, digital vid, other?)
  • length = duration of the vid (e.g. 1:23)
  • music = song choice; title, artist/composer, performer (indicate if instrumental)
  • genre = genre of the vid (constructed reality, fic trailer, het, slash, etc.)
  • fandom = name of the fandom(s), or "multifandom" if applicable
  • footage = footage source (which episodes if applicable, non-fannish video source, etc.)
  • externallinks = url where the vid may be found
  • imagename= filename (as in, "Example.jpg") of the image for the video, if you have one. If you leave this blank, the infobox will just omit the image and caption.
  • imagesize= image width, which will default to 100px if you leave it blank; 300px is a good size for image caps.
  • imagecaption= caption or annotation for the image. If you leave this blank the infobox will just omit the caption.
