This template is for pages about essays, press articles, academic papers, books, etc., written about fandom from an external point of view. Articles about fannish meta essays can use Template:Fanwork instead. One example of a page that could use this template is The Fan Fiction Rant.
The template will automatically include the category "Perspectives on Fans" on the page.
