Talk:Knight of Shadows

All right. I'm the one that entered this zine using information from someone selling it. The problem is I think it's not correct. I don't see any evidence of "supplementary issues" on khalliday's index AND I've run across another zine with the same author and title, but different cover. (I just uploaded it under "knightofshadow2") Sadly, I dont' have any other info about this second zine. Is it a Star Wars one? Are they both? Does Masiform D even have supps? When I googled the zine name I got a mention of it in google books in Textual Poachers. There it says (except that it uses the full name) "Karen O.'s Knight of Shadows (1982) offers one fan's version of Darth Vader's youth and his decision to align himself with the Empire. O. develops the story through a series of shifting perspectives that complicate any easy assignment of moral values. [...]" and that goes on for another half page about the zine and its take on Darth Vader and stuff. So that one zine of that title from 1982 is definitely a SW zine. I don't know whether the other is really ST:TOS. [1]--Ratcreature 12:13, 16 September 2009 (UTC)

Author name

The last name was removed on one of the covers but not on the second one that was uploaded later. --Doro 19:54, 20 January 2010 (UTC)

Probably because nobody has looked at this since the two zine problem cropped up? Also I'm wondering whether we should not use the current online name? I mean, I think the story on this page [2] is the same since it mentions that it was written about in textual poachers and mentions the zine and the author is given as Karen Winter.--RatCreature 20:04, 20 January 2010 (UTC)

I'm betting the original information about this being a Star Trek zine as well is incorrect via whoever was selling it (and I'm the one that put the original entry in). Everything I can find points to this zine being two different covers for the same novel by Karen Osman/Winter. And since she used both names and states the connection on her webpage, the redact with her name on the cover of the first zine isn't needed. I'm going to redo this page as a Star Wars zine. Can someone un-redact that cover? Mrs. Potato Head 20:27, 20 January 2010 (UTC)
I think that unless the old version was removed from the history for a thorough name purging clicking "revert" in the picture history ought to restore it, otherwise it would need to be reuploaded from the source, if we really wanted to put the name back on.--RatCreature 20:36, 20 January 2010 (UTC)
