Should we have a list/mini-glossary of the different genres of fic, perhaps as a subpage to the Genre article? To this, I'm thinking mostly of the genres/categories that show up during like, archive searches (such as the categories in the Buffy Fic Archive right now). Having too many lists is kinda lame, but on the other hand, if it's a subpage, hopefully it could be created without it showing up in any of the larger categories and being spammy.
And on a similar note, there's also the question of "if we do a genre list subpage, should we also do a warnings list subpage"?Etothepii 17:57, 8 October 2008 (UTC)
- I'm not sure it needs to be a subpage, since I don't see the main article for Genre getting hugely long. We could just add to the main article "Common genre labels for fanworks are:" and then a bulleted list of genres with links -- we can always move it to a subpage later if it gets out of hand. I'd be more inclined to start a list of warnings as a subpage, since I think a lot of space on the main warnings page is likely to end up taken up by "Warnings, controversy over."--Penknife 14:41, 10 October 2008 (UTC)
