How does this acronym distinguish whether "fell" or "forced" is meant?--RatCreature 18:03, 25 March 2010 (UTC)

I'm confused myself. I think there needs to be a distinction between the two, but the "'fiate" ending feels like it goes with the term that infers choice. And now I'm all turned around with these two terms and the redirects and references and kinda wish I hadn't started... --Mrs. Potato Head 18:06, 25 March 2010 (UTC)
Well, I never heard "Fell away from it all" and always thought that drifting out of fandom was covered under gafiating too, so unless there is some compelling sources saying otherwise I'd redirect the FAFIATE page to the "forced" variant, because that actually describes something distinct, and I'd suggest maybe to redirect the full "Fell away from it all" simply to "gafiate", with a sentence there, as these two seem to have considerable overlap at least.--RatCreature 18:12, 25 March 2010 (UTC)
ETA:rethinking this I actually see what you mean, -fiate ending is like a verb so it does not fit with the "forced". I still think the "fell" variant should maybe bundled with gafiate.--RatCreature 18:16, 25 March 2010 (UTC)
I'm actually pleading complete confusion with this one. Can you tweak it so it's correct? Feel free to delete anything I just added about it, okay? --Mrs. Potato Head 18:34, 25 March 2010 (UTC)
I think I have it now bundled in a sensible way on the Gafiate page, which I think is the most common term anyway.--RatCreature 18:49, 25 March 2010 (UTC)
