Strongest Duo is a zine made with the aim to explore the relationship between Gojo Satoru and Getou Suguru from Jujutsu Kaisen, also known as Satosugu.

About

The purpose of the Gojo & Geto zine is to feature Gojo and Geto, both individually and together. Pieces focus on one character or on their relationship (platonic or romantic). This zine is SFW.[1]

Interest checks opened on January 7, 2021 and ended on January 31, 2021[2]. Through interest check submissions, the project gathered suggestions on the zine title and announced it would be called Strongest Duo: A Gojo, Getou, and Satosugu zine[3]. Mod applications for a finances mod and a graphics mod ran from January 24, 2021 to February 7, 2021[4]. Contributors could apply from February 22 to March 15, 2021.

Preorders opened on July 9, 2021 with the following pricing tiers[5]:

  • The Strongest: Digital ($15 USD)
  • The Strongest: Print ($25 USD)
  • Okinawa ($35 USD) - Physical Zine, Customer Choice of Acrylic Charm, Prints, Stickers, Polaroid Prints, Buttons, and Enamel Pins
  • Infinity ($45 USD) - Acrylic Charm, Prtins, Stickers, Polaroid Prints, Pins, Buttons
  • Infinity: Gojo ($20 USD)
  • Infinity: Getou ($20 USD)
  • Fried Chicken ($65 USD) - Physical Zine, Acrylic Charm, Prints, Stickers, Polaroid Prints, Buttons, and Enamel Pins

Buyers could add on a PDF copy of the zine to physical bundles for $3 USD. Stretch goals included a heart-shaped button designed by Raine at 100 orders, an extra art print by Kaeikki at 150 orders, and a metallic print upgrade to the zine's cover at 200 orders[6].

A giveaway of one print zine with a digital bundle ran from July 7 to July 28, 2021[7]. The winner was Twitter user yoozutart[8].

Packages were reported to be shipped off on December 13, 2021[9]. Digital zines were sent out on December 26, 2021[10], with a little mishap where the sent file was missing the cover and had to be resent[11].

Leftover sales ran from February 3, 2022 to approximately March 20, 2022[12]. Prior to reopening their store, a giveaway of physical zine and a set of prints was run. The winner was Twitter user aithzele[13].

The project organized one last giveaway on February 26, 2022 for a set of prints[14]. The winner was announced to be Twitter user STORMLIGHT[15].

The project announced its completion on March 20, 2021, noting that some of their contributors chose to donate their payments from preorder and leftover sales to causes such as the National Center for Transgender Equality, Palestine Children's Relief Fund, and Cooperative for Assistance and Relief Everywhere[16].

Interactive Story

Throughout the project's creation period up to the project's completion, the organizers ran an interactive story where followers could decide the direction of the story through polls[17].

The story was told in nine parts done by various contributors on the project, the story centered around a situation where Gojo Satoru is sent back in time and spends a day with Getou Suguru. The two characters visit a cat cafe, go shopping for a new clothes, watch a movie, visit an abandoned hot springs and spend the night there despite its dilapidated state, where they encounter the ghost of Fushiguro Toji before returning home.
