Star Trek Winnipeg was one of the longest running science-fiction/fantasy clubs in Winnipeg, MB, Canada.

It was born shortly after the Star Trek: The Motion Picture premiere where a new fanbase was able to find a home in the Manitoba Planetarium auditorium the second Tuesday night of each month.

The organization catered to all age groups. A wide cross-section of society found a home within those walls; professionals, students, parents, children, the young and the old, all found haven within that space. Creative souls who put on skits and plays, watched movies together and discussed anything and everything under the sun. Part social group, part fanbase for all segments of geek culture. There were DnD people, cosplayers, writers, singers, musicians, many StarFleet ships and a wide scope of readers and collectors.

Membership averaged 90 members per year

The club produced monthly newsletter called Short Treks.

The club also produced five issues of the zine, Fanzine: Event Horizon.
