Ship's Log: U.S.S. Defiance is the newsletter of USS Defiance, a Starfleet fan club based in Sacramento, CA. The newsletter was published through the 1980s, possibly longer. The fan club was still active as of 2004.

The newsletter contains reports of fan club activities, local sci-fi news, essays about the Star Trek universe as written by club members in their fictional crew roles, along with puzzles and other games.

Volume 2, Number 6

Ship's Log: U.S.S. Defiance v.2 n.6 was published in January 1984 and contains 17 pages. The newsletter states: “About the cover: Drawing of Derek Wildstar carrying Nova from the animated series, ‘Starblazers’ by Elaine Gregory. This drawing set the theme for Ms. Gregory’s article introducing this series, with a rundown of the opening episode.”
