Reviews

A weekly publication devoted to news, gossip, and such matters, published by Richard Wilson, Jr.... Less formal than its rival in the particular field, it consists of two large size pages and contains more wordage, but only about the same amount of actual news. Very well mimeographed as a rule, and with the even right margins that have become so popular lately. Has been published regularly for a full year, and lists among its news sources many outstanding fans. Movie news is plentiful, coming for the most part from Forrest J Ackerman. There is little to choose between this magazine and its rival; SFNL has more wordage, while the other 'newspaper' has illustrations. Five cents the copy, six for a quarter.

AMATEUR "ANTHONY GILMORE" DEPT: These fans who chase around under phony names cause no little headache in certain vicinities. "Robert Bahr" is the current guess-promoter. We suspect "NEWS LETTER" is in a sweat in trying to discover whether or not that bogey-man, Moskowitz, is "it" .

THINGS THAT MAKES US CHUCKLE,DEPT: "Le Zombie" is a Cosmic Publication. So is FANTASY-NEWS. Whenever Zombie appears, F-N never fails to ignore our coming in it's "Fan-a-mag Review" . On the other hand, opposition paper- "NEWS LETTER" never fails to mention receiving us. Which causes us to cackle merrily, considering the state of things between the two papers, and knowing "NEWS LETTER" thinks little of all things COSMIC.
