Description:

Engaged on a mission to rescue his friends Anra and Seylen from Imperial forces on the forest world of Kartooma, Luke Skywalker's ship is shot down and crash lands. He is nursed hack to health by the telepath Leyan and her parents, hut after realising his continuing coexistence with them will reveal their position to Force Sensitives in the city, he opts to go with R2D2 to the city to search for the' underground leader and find "a way off planet.

Meanwhile, Princess Leia has persuaded General Zennra to allow her to obtain the clearance codes from Imra necessary to allow unquestioned landing on Kartooma. She, in turn, persuades a reluctant Han Solo to fly her to Imra on the Millennium Falcon, With C3P0 and Chewbacca, they obtain the codes, and then go direct to Kartooma to attempt to rescue their lost friend.

Ultimately the friends are reunited courtesy of the underground leader, the Hymac Esra; but Luke is unhappy that his primary mission remains unaccomplished and slips away from Esra's base to take a look at the Imperial Garrison for himself. Worried, his friends hurry to stop him before the impetuous Jedi.gets himself into more trouble.

Also, unknown to Luke, Darth Vader has arrived on Kartooma and is aware of Skywalker's presence. He has found Leyan and her family and, after killing her parents, holds Leyan prisoner in the same Imperial Garrison that houses Anra and Seylen, He is sure the emotional ties between the girl and Skywalker will draw his enemy into his grasp ...
