Realities is a 6-page Professionals circuit story by Fanny Adams. It is a sequel to Fantasies.

It is six weeks after their rescue [from being held captive for a month]. They act out Doyle's fantasy. Bodie, unsure of Ray's declaration under the previous trying circumstances, hopes Ray will freely repeat his avowal of love, but Doyle can't or won't do this, although Bodie repeats his feelings. The mood of the fantasy is broken by both senses of guilt. Ray realises he doesn't know how to make love, just fuck. Bodie holds him as he cries, and afterwards when he thinks Bodie is asleep he admits his love. In the morning they discuss love, Ray saying he feels inadequate but also admitting he loves, tho' he is scared to death. They make love for (as Doyle puts it) their 'first time as lovers.'

In Fantasies I would like to have known the exact situation they were in. In "Realities" I found Doyle's dithering and inability to speak of his love annoying, and the reversal of that inability was too sudden and for no real reason.

An OK read, but nothing great.
