Recs and Reviews
This is an aftermath fic for S02E10. It says coda fic but since it’s 3 chapters long I feel like it’s a little bit long to be a coda fic.That said, I really like that it’s from all 4 of the main character’s perspectives; starting with Danny’s and finishing with Steve’s. I also love the way the emotions of each character come over so clearly in the writing. Danny’s worry and concern, Kono’s anger, Chin’s quiet acceptance and support, and Steve’s exhaustion and determination and learning what it means to be Ohana.
I love the depth of this fic, especially given that there is very little action and it pretty much all takes place the living room of the McGarrett house. There is a lot of emotion and a lot of attention to detail, which I also appreciate about this fic.
It’s a little bit longer than most of the rest of my H50 recs but definitely worth the read.[1]
