Nothing Moves At Midnight is an unfinished Hanson fanfic by Allée. It was written from 1998 to 2000. It consists of seven installments, which vary greatly in the length.
The story is told through the journals of a very young Isaac who has a very high IQ. It is primarily set in South America, where Hanson did live for a time while their father worked in the oil business. However, in Nothing Moves At Midnight, their father is a fictional twin to their real father, who is abusive to his sons. In addition, Jordan Taylor Hanson is actually twins named Jordan and Taylor. Aside from these (significant) changes, the story follows much of what has been revealed about the very beginnings of the band Hanson.
Reactions and Reviews
It’s interesting to see how things play out in the richly developed world that she’s created, just a few steps to the side of our reality. There are a few “errors” that can be blamed on Allée being Australian, but otherwise the story reads as though, aside from those changes, it could have happened. It’s just a shame that Allée didn’t stick with it and see the story through to its ending, wherever that might have been. Nothing Moves At Midnight is likely one of the most unique “origin” stories out there, especially considering how popular that genre has been over the years.[1]

Nothing Moves At Midnight has won awards in the Hanfic Awards (1998 and 2000), Literary Hanfic Awards, Really Big Hanson Fanfic Awards and Waiting To Be Read Awards. It was nominated in the More Than Words Awards and Vibrating Underwear Awards, but did not win. It also received awards from Les Trois Freres, Mmmbop-Extreme, the Ultimate Hanson Page and others. It is featured in the PlaceToHide.net hall of fame as well as the Hanson Story Database top 50.
