this two-page fic is like some bizarre nightmare-parody of gauda prime. blake faked the whole thing on video, and he gets up and is like 'thanks avon! i really owe you one' as avon is staring at him in horror and disbelief, and then jenna arrives and blake hugs her and is like 'i love jenna! and i want to retire with her and live happily ever after with her. that's why i faked my own death and now i'm leaving you my base and all my rebels. bye!'

Even as Avon began to become enclosed by followers eager for his instruction Blake stepped back, guiding Jenna as well, away from the circle. With a wave of his hand the one time revolutionist bid his friend farewell. "Good luck, Avon. And have fun. Always knew there was a revolutionist in you somewhere."

But Avon could only see the growing mass of eager faces surrounding him, waiting expectantly for his first command.

The end.

and then avon doesn't wake up screaming.
